DARBY DIMOUT, well handled, repeatedly attempted to overhaul VALDINA COOKY but ducked to the inside when the latter swung out entering the stretch and was vp in the concluding strides. VALDINA COOKY, hustled into early command, set the pace under pressure, then came out entering the stretch and held on doggedly in the drive. GALLAHUE raced wide. OLD SILK closed ground when too late. COUNT FORAY had brief speed. CEE RAF thowed nothing. IN THE AIR stopped. Scratched 60842 Adda Pearl, 107. Overweight Young Buddy, 2 pounds. MEDIA LUNA was used up trying to go along with the pace. MISS MILITANT had no mishaps. O. K. JOE dwelt at the start. EMPTY PLATE flattened out. VALDINA JOE outsprinted the opposition, started shortening stride entering the stretch and, although hard urged, could not outstay the winner. GALORITA moved forward" when too late.
