MIDKAPI took a good lead nearing the stretch turn and was never in trouble thereafter. VICTORY FEET was always close up, but was doing his best to hold NEAT KEE. The latter was going strongly at the finish. JOYCE SHAMROCK made up ground in the stretch. QUICK STITCH trailed the field to the stretch, then made a good move in the middle of the track, but lugged in during the last eighth. TIB tired. COAST-A-BIT went to the front at once and, although bearing out on the stretch turn and headed momentarily, again took command when straightened out for home to draw out easily in the last eighth. FATHER NEPTUNE raced close up from the start and went well to the finish to hold PINDUS. The latter was unable to keep up with the early leaders, but was going strongly at the end. LEXINGTONIAN dashed into contention on. the outside after leaving the backstretch and went well to the finish. WITCH SIR showed good early speed. SON OF CHANCE lost all chance when he was shut off on the far turn and forced to take up. BULL PLAY was in early trouble. CONSERVATEUR had early speed. The latter dropped back after breaking well, but came strongly in the middle of the track through the stretch and was gaining on the winner. KINGFISHER finished fast on the inside. VALDINA STREAK opened up x a good lead rounding the stretch turn and, despite bearing out in the last sixteenth, had enough left to hold JOES CHOICE. The latter, in close quarters in the early running, saved ground in the. stretch to finish strongly. SHREVE made up ground in the middle of the track in the stretch. PORT CHESTER tired. BELL SONG sprinted to the front early, but bore out in the stretch. HARRIET SUE went well to the end to best DURAZNA in the closing strides. SOVERTON tired in the last quarter. QUARTERBACK, taken back early, was still under restraint while dropping back around the far turn, then made a belated move in the stretch to finish well. CHERRY T. came steadily through the stretch to outfinish VALDINA NYMPH. The latter got through an opening on the inside nearing the stretch turn to take a good, lead, but tired in the final eighth.
