Marcos Pena Continues Fine Saddle Work at Fairmount COLLINSVILLE, 111., June 28. When Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Shipps two-year-old, Light Donna won the third race at Fair-mount Park today, it marked the 42nd winner at the meeting for jockey Marcos Pena. The Cuban hustled the daughter of Sweeping Light and Donnahona to the front, soon after the start of the five furlongs event and made every post a winning one, pulling up three and one half lengths in advance of D. C. Wilhelms Ted Gardner, the favorite. Ted Gardner forced the pace throughout, but failed to menace the victress when put to punishment in the last three-sixteenths. Nations Hero, owned by Earl Wilson, finished third. It was the second victory for Pena, he having previously rode Sunburst to victory in the first race. .El Cabrillo triumphed in the second race with Bobby Haber doing the riding. The combination in the Daily Double paid 85.40.
