Only Four to Contest Diamond State Stakes Boy Knight Shoulders High Impost of 119 at Delaware STANTON, Del., June 28. The Diamond State Stakes, mile and a furlong feature for three-year-olds, will be renewed here , tomorrow but only four horses are scheduled to race in the ,500 fixture. Under the conditions of the race, Crispin Oglebays Boy Knight will be top weight of the, small field under 119 pounds,, five more than the imposts of Lpngchamps Farms Grant Rice and Mrs. E. duPont Weirs Galactic. Walter M. Jeffords Dawn Watch, under 110, completes the group. Grant Rice, winner of three straight at the meeting, probably will be favorite to win the Diamond State with his chief rival generally regarded as Boy Knight, one who has yet to make an appearance here, but who has been racing with top members of the three-year-old division in New York. Galactic, a winner here and then unplaced in a couple of stakes engagements at Aqueduct, is conceded an outside chance, while Dawn Watch has yet to show any- thing to indicate he can meet this sort of opposition successfully. While the field in the Diamond State naturally is disappointing, the remainder of the card is well filled and some 10,000 fans are expected to be on hand. In contrast with the small field in the Diamond State, Saturdays Newcastle Handicap shapes up as a contest of quan-; tity as well as quality. Among those considered likely to answer the bugle in the 0,000 mile and a six-, teenth number are Moon Maiden, Night . Glow, Everget, Challedonna, Barbara ! Childs, Anthemion, Burgoolette, Heyorta, v Johns Dear, Donitas First, Countess Wise, Star Copy, and Whirlabout.
