MY STAR, away fast but taken back, was under a strong hold to the last three-sixteenths, responded willingly and, disposing of UP FRONT, drew wAy..n ij.e,dsUGAR CHEST safe. The latter raced wide, moved up gradually and closed well in a good effort CHANCE TAKER, unable to improve his position early, closed well on the inside. UP FRONT, under strong restraint early, took command on the inside as PRINCE SANG bore out, then weakened in the last three-sixteenths. ROSE CANYON made up ground in the late stages. WIRE QUEST lost much ground. PRINCE SANG had speed, dropped back when bearing out on the final turn and continued to drop back thereafter. SASSY PATRICIA had speed and was weakening when she stumbled slightly approaching the final straightaway. DANADA FLASH and TIDEOVER began poorly and had little chance.
