White; bred by Thomas Piatt. WENT TO POST-2:16J. OFF AT 2:17 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. CHANCE BEA, a keen factor from the start, was taken to the middle of the track entering the stretch and, responding to brisk handling, disposed of the leaders to win going away. MUSICAL LADY went to the front at once, made the pace to the final furlong, bothered IN BLOOM during the closing drive and was not good enough for the winner. After inquiry by the stewards, MUSICAL LADY was disqualified from second and placed third for fouling IN BLOOM during the stretch run. IN BLOOM worked her way forward steadily on the inside, was going stoutly when bothered by MUSICAL LADY and was placed second after the tatters disqualification. PERCEIVE improved her position steadily, but could not get to the leaders when hard ridden through the stretch. SWEET REWARD raced wide. POSY was done after racing prominently to the stretch. MAKING MERRY never was dangerous. ANDYS SIS tired after displaying early speed. The others never figured. STARS AT NIGHT, well ridden, improved her position steadily while racing on the outside to the stretch, came gamely when set down in the drive and, after disposing of SONS STYLE, won going away. The latter, forwardly placed from the beginning, reached the lead when settled in the stretch, but was unable to withstand the winner, although easily best of the others. LOYAL, badly outrun to the stretch, finished strongly under urging. VALDINA BRIGHT broke to the inside at the beginning, bothering STE. FRANCES, assumed command when straightened up and made the pace for a half mile before tiring. STE. FRANCES, bothered by VALDINA BRIGHT immediately after the break, was in the deepest going throughout and weakened in the stretch. MY SCOTT was outrun. CHERRY TRIFLE raced wide. SLY TIGRESS went to the front early, displayed a liking for the sloppy footing and, after establishing a commanding lead, easily retained her advantage. KILGOBBIN, slow to begin and badly outrun to the stretch, finished fast under punishment. CEE STYLE began well and raced evenly in a good effort. WISE TIGER faltered during the stretch run. VALLEY PAL, on the outside throughout, could not threaten. MARTHA DOYLE broke sluggishly and never was a serious contender ATTRITION was done after racing prominently to the stretch. MAE BRIGHT raced wide throughout DUST-ABOUT was done early. ADELARA quit after being forwardly placed to the final quarter. The latter, never far back and well ridden, bore in badly during the final quarter and could not get to the winner, while easily best of the others. STATIC CHASER went to the front at once, made the pace to the stretch, then weakened. MISS AMERICA finished well under urging. MALI JOHNNY failed to stay after showing early speed. GUY HOTTEL, away well and in hand to the final quarter, came gamely when set down in the drive, but was not good enough for the winner. SUEDE, outrun to the stretch, finished willingly under punishment GLENNPORT held on well to the stretch, then gave way. SPRING DUN could not keep up. SAY NOMORE saved ground while in hand to the upper turn, came around horses to assume command entering the stretch, then held on stubbornly to best HEMBOSS. The latter, never far back, reached the lead approaching the stretch and continued resolutely under punishment, but was not good enough for the winner. OZZIE, reserved to the stretch and saving ground, closed willingly under brisk handling. JUST TOURIST, outrun to the final quarter, could not threaten when set down for the drive. PILATESUN raced wide. MANADROIT raced prominently to the stretch, then gave way. HO-HO was outrun. AIR BORNE made the pace for five furlongs, then quit. Scratched 00643 Task Force, 113.
