SCOUTING had good early speed, attempted to bear out at the first turn, raced with IBEX in the lead into the stretch turn, disposed of the latter and held SEA TACK safe while continuing to race wide. SEA TACK was rated in a contending position from the start, was sent to the inside for the drive and was wearing the winner down. ELEANOR VAN moved into closer contention on the backstretch, made a move in the stretch, then hung. SQUEEZIT, outrun early, finished well. The latter improved her position gradually, finished stronly and was wearing the winner down. BABY SNUFF moved into contention swiftly from a slow beginning and continued gamely. GOODFORME had early speed and held on well. FLIGHT SURGEON broke fast, but dropped far back at once and was never dangerous. SAMBO had some early speed, but quit badly. The latter was in a contending position from the beginning, responded to hard urging in the stretch and was wearing down the winner. HOLIDAY HUMOR was slow to settle in best stride, but closed stoutly. GRACE HY, away fastest, could not keep up. WINGING AWAY had early speed and saved ground, but quit. V0LANTE was never dangerous.
