NEDLON, in. front early and unhurried when displaced on the turn, continued to save ground and, after putting away CHANCE BRAS, held JUNIOR FOUR safe. The latter was eased back slightly when in close quarters along the backstretch, circled the, leaders and was gaining at the finish. CHANCE BRAS assumed command from the outside leaving the backstretch, then failed to last. CAESAR B. failed to rally at any stage. FAN FAN was through early. CREAMERY raced on his own courage while following the pace for more than a mile, was just beginning his move when he" made a very bad landing at the thirteenth fence, recovered under good handling and drew clear after the final fence. VIRELAY, always forwardly placed while fencing rather well, held on gamely, but was no match for the winner. PORT MARLY fenced well and had speed throughout, but tired in the drive. FRED HAVECKER showed good early speed, but fenced poorly, landing badly at the second and thirteenth Jumps. BOWLING LADY raced with the pace for a mile, quit badly and was eased up after the final jump. HARMONIOUS lost rider at the ninth jump. BRIARCLIFF, steadied within easy striking distance of the first flight, rallied when roused through the stretch and outfinished GHAZALA. The latter sprinted into a commanding lead, held on better than usual and just missed. BALLISTIC went very wide on the first turn, raced on the outside to the stretch and closed willingly after being taken to the rail. LOGANSPORT weakened. ROSEGAY was unhurried while forwardly placed early, responded when shaken up, drew into a commanding lead rapidly and won easily. OBEROD lacked speed earl, worked way between horses and closed full of run. SIS BRIER was unable to attain the lead and weakened. FLYING RAID faltered after showing the way to midstretch. CAMARGO moved into contention boldly entering the stretch, then had nothing left for the closing test. MUTI showed a fair race from an outside position. I DECLARE was unable to remain in contention after breaking alertly. AZALEA was impeded in the early stretch. LADY LOUDOUN quit. TUMBLE BOY, badly outrun early, circled the entire field while improving his position, wore down the leaders through the stretch and was drawing clear at the end. HYGROS GINGER, steadied early, challenged the leader from the outside and outfinished ANAMOSA, but could not resist the winner. ANAMOSA faltered after setting the pace for five furlongs. WESLEY A. moved into contention from teh outside, lugged in during the early stretch and finished gamely on the rail. BARBARAS GIRL weakened after being involved in some bumping in the early stretch.
