Delaware Notes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 21. Jockey Aubrey Snellings, who rode one of his richest stakes when he piloted Walter M. Jeffords Pavot to victory in Saturdays Sussex Handicap, has been engaged to handle Brookfield Farms Brookf ield in the six-furlong Rumson Handicap at Monmouth Park on July 4. Agent E. "Whitey" Dauenhauer, who handles the riding assignments of Aubrey Snellings, seems to have a likely looking apprentice prospect in Frank Lullo. This youngster is employed here by Claude Felt-ner and rode his initial winner Saturday. Rigan McKinney, not so many years ago one of the leading amateur riders in the country and now noted principally for his sartorian elegance, arrives here with four jumpers. Trainer Don Yates, who recently sold Rose of Dawn, Kerry Lass Chalupa, and Pari Dominate, has taken over the training of Ticco for F. F. Truscoot, of Newtown Square, Pa. Donald J. Driscoll has taken over the training of the plater, Oakmont. The veteran- router was formerly handled by Danny Driscoll, who commenced his saddle comeback Wednesday at Monmouth Park. Persepolis, A. D. Preeces surprise winner of the Spring Maiden Steeplechase last week, will be returned from Belmont Park. The English-bred fencer is not eligible for either of the two remaining steeplechase Handicaps but will bid for added glory in overnight events. Scotsun and Sure Gift, two rapid but faint-hearted sprinters, have been transferred to Charles Town, W. Va. Trainer W. O. Siegert also placed Ginomel in the shipment. i Racing secretary M. C. "Ty" Sheas condition book for the final 10 days of the meeting made its appearance today. A steeplechase race is included on each days program except on Saturday. Danny Shea has leased apprentice Robert Bauer to Earl Auld for the duration of the Monmouth Park meeting. Bauer rode at the New Jersey track opening Wednesday. Brookmeade Stables Delhi Dan, winner of the recent Hitchcock Steeplechase Handicap, in track-record time, arrived for his engagements in the Georgetown and Indian River Steeplechase Handicaps. Trainer Frank "Downey" Bonsai has sent Maidofthemoon to his Maryland farm and has picked up four head to return to training. The quartet included Lord Calvert, winner of the 1944 Sussex Handicap over the local track. John Kirtland, steeplechase rider who suffered a slight concussion when Ducker threw him Wednesday, was released from the hospital Thursday after an X-ray by Dr. William Spear showed no serious injury.
