v Last Is First From Start To Finish in Cagliostro AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 21. The ,000 Cagliostro Hurdle Handicap that featured todays program at Aqueduct resulted in a mild upset as Mrs. F. Ambrose Clarks Last was first from start to finish, reaching the end of the mile and three-quarters over 10 hurdles two lengths before Farsight, another outsider, while the well-supported Binder was a similar margin away in third place. War Scholar was a distant fourth in the field of eight. Last returned 7.80 to his comparatively few followers in the crowd of 18,762 who turned out in threatening weather. The winning son of Only One, who was a maiden before this victory, was ridden by F. Kratz. Trainer "Sunny Jim" Fitzsimmons sent out what may be a really good colt in the person of Wheatley Stables Kerry in the Chatham Purse that followed the Cagliostro. This strapping bay son of Sir Galla-had m., from the good mare Erin, took the track at the start of this five and a half furlongs dash for juveniles and won eaesily by three lengths from the recent winner, Wise Friz. End of Strife, the choice, was five lengths behind in third place and had all he could do to save the show award from Gallahad.
