French Horses Dominate Final Ascot Card ASCOT, England, June 21 Reuters The four-day Ascot Park meeting came to a close today under sunny skies and again French horses dominated the competition, winning three of the six events. The French owner, Marcel Boussac, who had won three races during the first three days of the traditional meet, including the Gold Cup with Caracella n. yesterday, garnered two more triumphs on the final program. His six-year-old Marsyas, carrying top weight, won the Queen Alexandria Stakes, and his Priam captured the Hardwicke Stakes. In the Queen Alexandria, a test over two and three-quarter miles and Englands longest flat race, Marsyas easily took the top honors, beating another French horse, Urgay, by six lengths. King George VI.s Rising Light was the best of the English horses, finishing third.
