Whitney stable at Belmont Park, said today that the champion filly, First Flight, would not be seen in action before the Aqueduct meeting which follows the current Belmont session. The 1946 champion juvenile will not meet her engagement in , the Belmont Stakes, but is progressing steadily in her training. Veitch said that Phalanx, who finished second in the Derby and third in the Preakness, after winning the Wood Memorial, would start in the Belmont on May 31, with Eddie Ar-caro in the saddle. Veitch said there was also a strong chance that the colt would pick up his topweight of 126 pounds in Saturdays Peter Pan Handicap. y
