Carter; bred by L. K. Rogers. WENT TO POST 5:30. OFF AT 5:30 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. PADUCAH went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, then was taken back and lost command, command again when roused and disposed of GIANT SERVANT in the last sixteenth. GIANT SERVANT, forwardly placed from the beginning, reached the lead in the stretch and continued gamely, but was unable to hold PADUCAH, although easily best of the others. GAINER moved up boldly near the stretch, then failed to rally when roused for the drive. TACOMA raced evenly and had no excuse. GLENNP0RT was outrun. DARBY DISMAY had early speed. TIDEOVER dropped back after the start, fell lame entering the stretch and was pulled up. Paducah claimed by G. Gorbet. Attendance, 10,618; Total Mutuel Pool, 48,770 Returned to Public, 51,430, Less Breakage.
