SONS STYLE, away alertly, dropped oack after the start, worked his way forward steadily after the first quarter and, coming to the inside for the stretch run, disposed of MANKCUBOB and won going away. MANKCUBOB assumed command at once, shook off SHREWLA midway in the stretch, but was unable to withstand SONS STYLE. SIXTYS THIRD, outrun to the final quarter, finished willingly under urging. MY ESTHER lacked early speed, but closed determinedly. LANCET gave wav after racing prominently to the stretch. SHREWLA engaged MANKCUBOB to the final furlong, then weakened. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. INVERETTE took command before going a quarter, drifted out entering the stretch, bumped GOOD HUNTING, came stoutly when set down for the drive and held her advantage. GOOD HUNTING, a sharp factor from the start, suffered interference when INVERETTE bore out on the final turn, then came again when clear, but could not overtake the latter. STE. FRANCES, on the inside and in the deepest going throughout, could not better her position when hard ridden through the stretch. MIA MARIA raced evenly in a good effort and had no mishap. VALDINA AIDE went to the front at once, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch, then was ridden out to retain his advantage. EL NEGRO, outrun to the final quarter, saved ground entering the stretch and closed resolutely under brisk urging. OLD SILK, on the outside for the drive, failed to rally under punishment. ZANNA MAY, away alertly, raced prominently to the last furlong, then weakened. ARMY GLIDER could not threaten. BETTY VAN began sluggishly and was never a serious factor. KSAR OF AUDLEY worked his way forward steadily under clever handling, came between horses entering the stretch to assume command and drew clear without need of urging. SUPER MARINES, a keen factor from the start, reached the lead between calls in the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. FERGIES ARIEL, forced to take up sharply when crowded near the three-eighths pole, could not threaten the leaders when clear. SERGEANT BILL went to the front at once and made the pace to the stretch, then faltered. PAPER CLIP failed to rally when set down in the drive. STRING BAND was never dangerous. FLYING BEN, away fast, could not keep up early, was sent to the outside entering the stretch and finished fast. SUN SYMBOL, never far back, reached the lead in the stretch, then faltered near the finish. MASICO LAD raced prominently to the final furlong, then weakened. LITTLE BITS had no mishap. ARABS FANCY made the pace to the stretch while engaging BRACKET, then gave way. MINIVER was outrun. BRACKET quit after forcing the pace to the half. VALDINA PERION improved his position steadily to the stretch, came to the extreme outside for the drive and, responding to vigorous handling, disposed of the leaders in the closing strides. PERIAIR, on the inside and forwardly placed from the outset, came gamely when set down for the drive, reached the lead between calls, but could not hold the winner and just missed. WHOSYOURGAL assumed command at once, made the pace to the last eighth, then faltered, but lasted to dead-heat SACATON for third. SACATON, in close quarters early, moved up fast when clear, then closed determinedly to be on equal terms with WHOSYOURGAL. PERAPTERA weakened after racing prominently to the stretch. ROTATE was outrun. CALLIOPE began slowly. FOREST KING tired. BROWN CLOWN could not keep up. KARAKORUM bled after showing brief speed. LARKMEAD JANE, in hand while racing within striking distance of the pacemaker to the stretch, responded to punishment during the drive and was up to dispose of LEOS BRANDY in the last stride. The latter assumed command early, made the pace under good rating and held on determinedly through the stretch, but was unable to withstand the winner and just missed. LIGHT REIGH, away slowly and outrun early, finished fast under punishment. JUBILEE GEM raced evenly and had no excuse. HOT DAYS began alertly, but could not keep up. WOODVALE QUEEN, away fast, raced prominently to the stretch, then failed to stay, her rider having lost his whip at the start. CLARA JEAN was done early. Overweight Clara Jean, 3 pounds. WOBBLE PUMP saved ground while racing forwardly placed to the last three-eighths, then weakened. MY GRACE tired after engaging DIESEL SAND to the stretch.
