MISS GEE-DU went to the front at once, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch and then drew clear without need of urging. MISS BOB, never far back, was in close quarters during the drive when TEDSON bore in, held on willingly, but was unable to menace the winner. TEDSON, keen factor to the stretch, drifted to the inside during the drive and then was unable to hold MISS BOB safe. MONOLITH, on the outside, failed to rally when set down in the drive. PITCHER, forwardly placed from the start and well handled, responded readily when mildly urged entering the stretch and, after wearing dovn CANARY BIRD, won going away. CANARY BIRD assumed command early, attempted to bear out while setting the pace and was unable to withstand the winner when set down in the drive. RUN A RISK finished willingly in a good effort and had no mishap. BABYS BROKE engaged CANARY BIRD to the stretch, then bore to the inside during the drive and lost all chance. SOHRAB began sluggishly. ALGIE could not keep up. SPORTS EDITOR was outrun. DOMINO GAL was never dangerous. MILITARY SIR, slow to reach best stride and outrun early, steadily improved his position after the opening quarter, remained on the outside for the drive and, responding to strong handling, wore down the leaders during the last sixteenth. BEL STOCK went to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong and held on willingly, but was unable to withstand the winner. AGRARIAN SON raced prominently to the last eighth, then faltered. POMPAGLE, roughed at the first turn, failed to rally when clear for the drive. BONESS tired after racing well to the stretch. BAUMBACH had a rough trip. REDGIE raced wide. MIAMI ROSE tired. VALDINA SEER had early speed but failed to stay. VESTIBULA bowed a tendon when nearing the stretch. JOSHUA, on the inside throughout, engaged TINTINA to the final furlong and reached the lead between calls, but could not hold the winner. TINTINA, a keen factor from the beginning, went to the front after three-eighths and held on well in the last furlong, then weakened. KINDLY MISS lacked early speed. f?E-RJAC,K orced wide b spRING FOLLY, could not threaten when straight for the drive. ROYAL CHANCE tired after racing prominently to the stretch. LOVE SONNET, reserved and kept in a good position until reaching the stretch, was sent outside slightly for the drive, but could not menace the winner TURBINE raced evenly throughout in a good effort. PELLICLE, away slowly and outrun to the last three-eighths of a mile, could not get to the leaders under hard riding through the stretch. PAPA REDBIRD went to the front with a rush, established a long lead, held command until reaching the stretch, then gave way. CHILDERIC was never prominent. MISS OBEHAN, going in improved form, assumed command after three-eighths of a mile, opened up a clear lead and retained the advantage without need of urging. ORISKANY, in hand to the final quarter of a mile, finished willingly under punishment but could not menace the winner although easily best of the others. THE BAGEL took command at once, gave way to the winner and, losing ground steadily thereafter, lasted to finish in a dead-heat with MY EMPIRE for third MY EMPIRE, outrun to the stretch, closed well enough to finish on equal terms with THE BAGEL t0r.ft,r.d.honors- JUDGE 0. was outrun.
