Joost to Be Out Week With Injured Kneecap PHUjADEDPHIA, Pa., May 19 UP. — Shortstop Eddie Joost will be lost to the Philadelphia Athletics for at least a week because of any injury suffered in last nights game with the St. Louis Browns. Joost was hit on* the kneecap in the seventh inning by a pitched ball thrown by lefthander Bob Cain. Dr. I. I. Gopadze, team physician, will take X-rays of the injured knee today. He said Joost will be out a week, even if the X-rays show nothing more than a-bruise.
