DELHANNAH showed her usual good early speed and, never far removed from the leaders, caught them weakening in the final furlong to get to the front and won under urging. CHICKS DELIGHT challenged SHAFFIE successfully when straightened out for home, but had little left with which to withstand the winner. JUST EIGHT was inclined to race wide, but was going gamely on the outside at the end. DASHA followed the early pace closely, but faltered when put to the test. SURVEY was in close quarters on the far turn and forced to take up. SHAFFIE tired after going a half mile. Scratched— 27755 Quatre Blanc, 112. MISS DEDUCTIVE went to the front at once and snugged while making the pace, withstood a couple of challenges from PHANTOM HEELS and was increasing her advantage slowly -at the end. PHANTOM HEELS, racing on the outside of the leader, was. unable to get to the front and was doing his best to save second place. BLITZEN LADY was never far removed and raced gamely to the finish. CLIMBER was in rather tight quarters on the inside early and failed to threaten. FANCY FESTIVAL was always within striking distance and coming strongly after entering the stretch, forged to the front an eighth out and had enough left to hold LUTZA. The latter saved ground in the final eighth and was pressing the winner at the finish. BETHS BOMB lacked early speed and was in close quarters while attempting to get through on the inside around the far turn, then came to the outside in the stretch to close up well, but seemed to hang slightly near the end. KENAYR raced a trifle wide while making the pace. CAPTAIN DORSETT failed to be a serious contender. Overweight— Lutza, 3 pounds; Straeth, 2. Fancy Festival claimed by W. H. Bishop. CLEAR DAY, prominently placed from the beginning, avoided the mishap on the far turn, raced CROSS RING into defeat to assume a clear lead entering the stretch and increased his advantage thereafter under a mild hand ride. CROSS RING, hustled to the front immediately after the start, gave way to the winner before going a half mile, then held on willingly to be best of the others. IMPULSIVE SAM, forced to take up slightly nearing the three and one-half furlongs marker, closed determinedly when clear. MR. NEALIE tired under punishment. LEESTOWN lacked speed. DRY RUN tired. OCEAN SAND was through early. VISIONAL apparently ran up on the leaders heels nearing the three and one-half furlong marker and fell. ROMAN ROAD raced JIMMYS DOLL into defeat to. reach the lead before going a half mile, gave way to the winner nearing the quarter mile marker, then held on determinedly in a good effort NON FERRO raced evenly through the late stages without mishap. THE BLUE HEN failed to make up appreciable ground. CATSMENOW lacked speed. JIMMYS DOLL quit FINE FETTLE began sluggishly as usual. FIGHTING CLOUD showed nothing. MALS BOY held sway for a half mile, lost command to the winner nearing the furlong, but lasted to prevail over GRAHAM. The latter came out to the middle of the track for the drive, but was not good enough. STOP GAP, in close quarters soon after the start, failed to recover. ROMAN BATH, a sharp factor from the beginning, disposed of BALLYDAM entering the stretch and increased his advantage thereafter under pressure. SABAEAN moved up menacingly on the outside nearing the furlong marker, but when roused could not seriously endanger the leader. CIRCUS CLOWN finished determinedly in a sharp effort. PROP, slow to reach best stride, bore in during the late stages and was not good enough. JOHNS JOY failed to gain the lead and tired. -SUN DAVID was forced to take up slightly when bothered "by PROP during the stretch run.
