Crowd of 22,800 Witnesses Water ford Inaugural Card WATERFORD PARK, Chester, W. Va., May 19. — An opening-day throng of 22,800 turned out in beautiful summer weather to usher hi Waterf ord Parks inaugural program. The gathering was pleasantly surprised with the race track, one of the real beauty spots in American racing. The featured Waterford Park Handicap attracted a field of eight sprinters and the-JKinner turned up in B. B. Townsends Tamale, who was nicely handled by jockey John R." Lay ton and the winner covered, the three-quarters in 1:12%-, which was the fastest time of the afternoon for the distance, and paid 3.00. In the feature, Sylvester Richs Solicitor finished second, four lengths back of the winner, and G. Y. Bookers Mad. Hare was third, one length farther away. Duke Aumar was fourth.
