PASSING HOUR vied for the lead between horses and got the nod over STONE SAUCER. The latter was on the outside while on nearly even terms for command and just missed. HADASSAH was always prominent and finished willingly. MARAUD had no apparent excuse. ROZS BOY faltered in the late stages. CYKIE was outrun. STRIDE AWAY bore out. MAND1NG0, never far back while saving ground, veered out sharply in the vicinity of the furlong post, impeded TEXAS REWARD, who was forced into HAM BONE, closed strongly to wear down BEDAZZLE in the final, stride and was disqualified. BEDAZZLE stumbled at the start, moved up on the outside to reach command, drew clear in the stretch and, tiring near the end, just missed. TEXAS REWARD was impeded midway of the drive, but recovered quickly to close strongly. HAM BONE, knocked back at the start, lost ground while improving position and was bothered midway of the. drive. QUEENS CHANT closed strongly after a slow beginning. FAIRYS GEM lacked a closing rally. OUR GAY raced prominently on the rail and weakened in the drive. FUTILE gave way after showing early speed. F. forced the pace under light restraint, disposed of TRIPOLI when ready and gradually drew clear. The latter outbroke his field, held a clear advantage until leaving the turn, but was not good enough. ACEFULL, away sluggishly, was hustled along on the inside to be forwardly placed and lacked a menacing rally. BATTLE ROYAL had no excuse. SPRINGTALE was forced to race wide. JEST was slow to begin. ROYAL FLASH tired, as did FRIGID. PRINCEKIN had early Speed and quit. CASEMATE went into command shortly after the break, shook off FERD leaving the turn and drew clear again; then lasted under hard punishment over PIET. Latter broke slowest,, worked, his way through on the rail until midstretch, came out for the final furlong, engaged the winner inside the sixteenth post and hung. LIGHTS UP lacked early speed, was forced to race wide throughout and closed strongly. FERD was a sharp factor from the outset, made a game bid entering the stretch and faltered slightly in the drive. OIL CAPITOL was in close attendance of the pace on the inside, came out slightly entering the stretch and lacked a menacing rally. DELEGATE was forced to race wide while improving position and gave way the final quarter mile. COCHISE failed to threaten. THREE RINGS ran forwardly placed until midway of the turn and tired.
