TOBO, never far back and well handled, gradually worked way forward to the stretch, raced by LEAPING MOOSE, then held ALBULIL safe. The latter raced evenly for a half mile, was sent to the outside for the stretch run and closed fast, but could not overtake the top one. AIR TARGET lacked early speed, but finished fast and had no mishap. RAPID ROBERT, far back to the stretch,- made up ground during the drive. LIBERTY A. was outrun. MR. BULL, failed to stay after showing early speed. LEAPING MOOSE went to the front early, made the pace to tfie last eighth, then faltered when challenged by TOBO. CORINNE T., away alertly and never far back, assumed command nearing the stretch, responded to punishment during "the drive and held PALLIS. ROYAL safe. The latter was outrun early, came out slightly for the stretch run and closed fast, but could not overtake the top one. LADY POMP, a forward factor from the beginning, held on well in a sharp effort. MR. FEATHERS saved ground entering the stretch, but could not better his position when set down in the drive. SUNSHINE ROSE, weakly handled, went wide entering the stretch and swerved to the outside during the drive. THISTLE SIR could not keep up after showing early speed. HIGH JUMP raced wide. PARKVIEW was hustled to the front early, established a long lead entering the stretch and retained a good advantage while under a steady hand ride. TRIOGRAPH raced evenly to the stretch, finished willingly under urging, but could not get to the winner. DUKE BOSWELL raced evenly and had no excuse. GRANDMAS DAY was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. MISS PLACE, on the outside throughout, failed to rally when hard ridden, during the drive. GENIAL JACK raced wide. WHIRL OFF was outrun. BULL SHOALS began fast, engaged PARKVIEW to the. stretch, then gave way. COLONEL PAP began sluggishly. MR. GREENWOOD was never prominent. LEADING MAN, alertly handled, assumed command at once, made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then retained the advantage-while under a brisk drive. FLYING RAID, never far back, closed strongly, but could not get to the winner. SELL SHORT, a sharp factor .from the start, held on well in a good effort and had no mishap. NIGHTLIFE lacked early speed, but could not get to the leaders when set down through the stretch. BROWNSTOWN was outrun. GOLDEN BOLT, away alertly, but on the outside to the upper turn, was roughed entering the stretch and was forced wide, came again on the extreme outside when clear, but was unable to reach serious contention. BIG GIRL could not keep up after showing early speed. EXCEL LAD was never prominent. LUCKY DOG was far back throughout. BROWN BRUTUS showed nothing. WAR HAL, steadied while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, responded to strong handling during the drive and wore down DUSJLIGHT in the last sixteenth. DUSTLIGHT, hustled from the beginning under a poorly Judged ride, rr entered the stretch with a short lead and continued gamely under punishment, but could not hold the winner, c although probably best. IONA U. lacked early speed, but finished fast between horses. PHARACK, far back to 2 the last three-eighths, saved ground during the drive, but could not overtake the leaders. TURBAN, away fast, rr was roughed repeatedly and failed to rally when clear for the drive. RESORT was on the outside from the S£ beginning and drifted out while tiring during the stretch run. HIGH TEST was never dangerous. DREAM J COMFORT failed to stay after racing well to the stretch. CASS was through early. £J Scratched— 31191 Oatka, 109. BULLY BOY, never far back, was sent to the outside of OLD TOM for the stretch run and, responding to strong handling, disposed of the latter in the last strides. OLD TOM moved up fast after the beginning and assumed command, made the pace until inside the stretch and held on gamely, but could not withstand the winner, just missing. SUFFKI, on the inside throughout, could riot better his position when set down through the stretch. VIXEN ROSEwas outrun.
