Michigan Notes DETROIT, Mich., June 19. M. L. Stuker, trainer for the C. M. Howe stable, registered Hals Linda, Dicks Hay Day, Perfidy. Boldger, Son OSky and Anns Pigeon after the unit arrived here from the Lincoln Bields-at-Washington Park meeting. Sid Birley, one-time jockey arid now a trainer, came in with seven horses, the property of Fred N. PohPs River Downs Stock Farm. Pink Larkspur, Dollroom, Happy Verdict, Bay Bloom, Newsworthy, Tempter" and Keen Step are to race in Michigan during the balance of the 1951 season. Jockey Arthur Montiero, who was injured in a fall here last week, has shown little change in condition at the Highland Park General Hospital. Although Monteiro is off the critical list, the lad will be in the local infirmary for a long stay, according to advices from track physician Malcolm MacQueen. J. Logan Wheat registered six horses for campaigning here after the sextet shipped in from Douglas Park, Louisville, Ky. The new members of the Wheat Stable are R. J. -Wentergersts Laray Stables Bell Tracer, Gallant D., Marymaljim and Fairpic; J. E. Masons Gallant Sallee and Gallant Rock. Wheat also took over the training of Pappys Rebel for Mr. and Mrs. F. Spellman. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Craig arrived from their Muncie, Ind., home to take in several days racing at the Livonia course. Mr. Craig ic a partner with his father in the A and R Craig Stable, which is conditioned by the veteran turfman, Charles C. Kranz. B. H! Wise received the three-year-oU gelding, White Blaze, from Chicago and he will campaign the plater here under his own silks. * Jockey Lois C. Cook has given first call on his saddle services to the locally-owned Grace Kosiba Stable, which is trained by L. L. Moore, according to announcement from Johnny Walker, agent for the journeyman reinsman. Marion H. VanBerg, who sent out two winners on the Monday card at the Detroit track, received four additional members of his stable from Washington Park where the quartet took part in the Lincoln Fields meet. Those making the trip hmet from Illinois are Billcella, Overnight, In Davis and Short Reign.
