Three Stakes at Arlington Have Closings.at Midnight ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 19. — Nominations for three Arlington Park Stakes— the Stars and Stripes Handicap, the Sko-kie Handicap, and the Pollyanna Stakes — close today. The 0,000 added Stars and Stripes, richest grass handicap in the world, is scheduled as the highlight of the July 4 card next month, for three-year-olds and upward at a mile and a furlong. The 5,000 added Skokie, last run in 1948 with Piet the winner, will test three-year-olds and up at six furlongs on Saturday, July"*7, with the 5,000 added Pollyanna Stakes for two-year-" old fillies at five and one-half furlongs completing a July 7 "doubleheader,"
