ROYAL BONES was well placed early and moved forward on the outside after entering the stretch to wear down IDA WIN and won going away under pressure. IDA WIN went to the front early from the outside post position and showed a liking for the going while opening up a good lead, but was unable to last, although much the best of the others. LUMENA went evenly. CHUCKALONG lost ground in the stretch, but was going well at the finish. BIT O ROSE was unable to keep up. CONSTANT SUSAN dashed to the front early and racing as if by far the best in the going, increased her margin as she went to win in hand. CHIEF OSCEOLA, semingly a naturally slow beginner, dropped far back in the first half mile but closed with his usual determination to catclj K AVENUE in the closing strides. The latter went along well while racing in closest pursuit of CONSTANT SUSAN, but at no time threatened for the leadership. BUSY FLOW showed an inclination to race wide in spots without being a factor. SEASONED was within striking distance in the first partand had no apparent excuse. ARAB ACTRESS dashed up on the outside soon after the start and, apparently much the best in the going, took command at her leisure to make a show of her opposition in the stretch run. BELLE REVOKE was away well and remained a good contender for second place in the preliminary stages and was much the best of the others when it came to an issue. BURMA GIRL finished with fair courage to hold VEZLARK to a dead-heat for third place. VEZLARK. was going fairly well at the end. ACTUATE tired. DEAR PAT was simply not good enough in the going. IN CLASS, racing as if much the best, had no difficulty taking command when called upon and increasing his advantage racing through the stretch was an easy victor. VAR displayed good form while racing in the center of the track through the stretch, and ~* while not pressing the winner was fairly impressive in the going. MANCHAC raced up nearing the stretch turn, kj but lost some ground in the stretch. BULLISH went evenly while failing to threaten. BOBS PAL had early speed but tired. __. SUN DAVID was off well and, gaining the head end nearing the. stretch turn, soon opened up a long lead, but was required to do his best near the end to hold RUHE. The latter seemingly refused to extend himself in the first part and might have been inclined to sulk, but came very fast through the stretch to be gaining rapidly and might have won in a few more strides. CACOMO had a fair turn of early speed and went steadily to the finish. STOP GAP broke on top, but was unable to keep up. MARKET TIP was not a serious contender. AIR MAIL quit badly. VIRTUE, rated early but showing a positive likeness for the off-going, came very fast nearing the stretch turn to easily overtake RED SAM when straightened out for home and win in a gallop. RED SAM drew out early to open up a long lead on the backstretch, but offered little contention to the winner, although clearly best of the others. S. McLAUGHLIN was devoid of power although going evenly. GENIAL JACK was best of the rest, but failed to threaten. FIGHTING CLOUD stopped badly as if not liking the going.
