MARCHESE, in close attendance to the early pace, wrested command entering the stretch and lasted over MISTER DOVER. The latter trailed for more than a half mile, circled the field and was wearing dcwn the winner. DESTINO SON was formidable from the start • and continued on willingly. SKY BIM attained a slight lead nearing the stretch and weakened only slightly. GWENYS WOW WOW failed to rally sufficiently. DARLING DADDY gave way badly through the final furlong. TOP MARK outsprinled the opposition, turned back the mild challenge of OUR PRESIDENT and held sway under intermittent urging. TOMMYS JET stumbled and almost fell at the start, recovered well and raced wide to wear down all butthe top one. OUR PRESIDENT raced well into the stretch and was green under urging. FLEETNG WILL loomed a threat along the inside in the early stretch and faltered. The others were outrun. SPECIAL STYLE could not keep pace for the lead but was clearly best of the others. ROSE CARILLON wore down tired fillies. MABE CEE displayed speed along the inside to be in front for three furlongs, then flattened out. SNOBBISH was crowded back early on the turn and failed to threaten. LeBlancs claim of foul against SPECIAL STYLE for alleged intereference leaving the back-stretch was disallowed. MISSERLEN broke badly. CUBED ICE tired. CATCHPENNY was outrun. ALFORD saved ground while being rated, disposed of PLENARY entering the stretch and withstood the long drive of HOPLITE. The latter, unhurried early, circled the field to engage the leader with a bold bid entering the stretch, then was not good enough. PLENARY set the pace under rating .gnd faltered through the final quarter. MIDIAN weakened. EASTERN GLOW was outrun. TOPSIDE appeared unable to handle the going.
