FLAMENCO II., held in reserve for the first half-mile, moved with a rush to take command a quarter away and, while bearing out, held LADY REDBIRD safe. The * latter, slow to settle into stride, raced wide while advancing and, white being carried wide into the stretch, she held on gamely. MELPET raced wide while making a belated bid to be easily best of the others. BRAVE ADMIRAL attempted to run out on the first turn and raced wide thereafter.
