Auction Fiye Paintings Friday at Belmont Ball BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 8. — Five paintings and illustrations will be auctioned off for the Maternity Center Association, which is the beneficiary of the annual Belmont Ball to be held, in the Turf and Field Club on the eve of the Belmont Stakes this Friday. Bids will remain open until Saturday, June 11. Sealed bids are being accepted by Miss Helen Eden at the Turf and Field Club offices at the track. The paintings will be on display in the Belmont paddock for the rest of this week. They were done by C. C. Beall, John Moodie, Glenn Golto, B. B. Valentine and Elmore Brown, all members, of the Society of Illustrators. Highest bidders will be announced shortly after the Belmont Stakes.
