I j California Law Bans Tracks Having Interest in One Another SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 8.— Gov. Goodwin Knight yesterday signed into law a measure sponsored by Assemblyman Ralph Brown D-Modesto , prohibiting any licensed race track from holding any financial interest in another track. Other bills sponsored by Assemblyman Brown and signed by the Governor require that fairs conducting horse racing programs include harness races on their cards, that all funds accruing from charity racing go to bona fide charities, and that any person claiming winnings must present at least a substantial part of a pari-mutuel ticket.
