Balmoral Spotlight Sport Boots, Hi Jet, Lowili And Alibilt All Nominees For 0,000 Chicagoan WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., June 8. — Three-year-olds will be going six furlongs in the Siskin Purse, feature race on Balmorals Thursday card. Seven sophomores, including candidates for the 0,000 added Chicagoan, closing-day feature, have been entered for the ,500 dash. * High impost of 122 pounds is shared by W. T. . Loebers Lowill and Mrs. Herbert HerfFs Valaire, three pounds more than Hasty House Farms Alibilt. Fairway Farms Hi Jet, J. Graham Browns Weedemout and Park Deere Stables Sports Boots get in with 116. W It Ranchs Sisters Alibi is asked to tote 112. Sport Boots, Hi Jet, Lowill and Alibilt are nominees for the Chicagoan. Sport Boots and Alibilt also have been kept eligible for both the Arlington Classic and the American Derby at Washington Park, while Lowill is still a candidate for the Arlington Classic. Making Third Start of Meeting Lowill makes his third Balmoral start, showing a win and a third in two previous efforts. He defeated a medium-class field May 20 at six furlongs, then failed to catch Big Swiv and Texas Bulldog at seven furlongs on May 28. Lowills Washington Park starts tell the story of his 1955 campaign. Last year he failed in four starts. Valaire comes off a one-mile victory here last Friday, a race in which the gelding graduated after nine starts covering a two-year campaign. He was second in an earlier Balmoral attempt at six furlongs. Alibilt, making his Balmoral debut, won a Gulfstream distance event March 22. The colt has made two starts in stake features, going unplaced in both the Fountain of Youth Handicap at Gulfstream and the Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland. In his latest outing he ran fifth in a Churchill Downs six-furlong test. Sport Boots is winless in two starts this year, including a seventh here last Saturday in a six-furlong dash won by Irish Brush. He was second in his 1955 debut at Churchill Downs. Weedemout has not won this year, failing in three attempts, in cluding two Balmoral starts. He was eleventh last Saturday in the sprint won by Irish Brush. Before that he went unplaced in a seven-furlong contest run over a muddy track. Hi Jet makes his thirteenth start of the year in quest of his second victory. He has not won since early winter at Hialeah. This is Hi Jets third Washington Park try, showing a fourth and a fifth in two efforts. Sisters Alibi, shipped in recently from New York along with the Chicagoan candidate, Honeys Alibi, and the W L Ranch string, went unplaced his only start at Pimlico, May 25. It was a six-furlong dash. ,The gelding was unraced as a two-year-old.
