LILY B. saved ground while never far back, made up ground steadily when called upon and displaced SPECIAL BLEND in the late stages. The latter moved into command under rating when straightened along on the backstretch and held on gamely, but could not resist the top one. DEE KAY saved ground while forwardly placed and lacked a closing rally. ETERNAL FAN passed tired horses. HAYDON had no excuse. FLO FLO tired, as did MISS ARGO and MISS BOLD. GALLOPING GUS, bothered shortly after the start, raced wide improving position and closed strongly. NAHEEM weaved his way between horses with a strong belated bid. ONTHEBALL made the pace until the furlong post and gave way suddenly. POWER PLANT had no excuse. BOILING SPRING was outrun. TROIC broke in a tangle. WHERE NOW had early speed and tired.
