SPOOKY CADET moved through along the inside to take the lead racing to the half-mile pole, drew out and won easily. ISLAND LAD worked his way up to reach a forward position midway on the turn and could not threaten thereafter. GLOW AGAIN dropped back from a quick beginning, moved around horses on the turn and was taken inside for the drive. UNCLE SAMNIK rallied mildly leaving the back-stretch and faltered. MONETARY set the early pace, while saving ground, and fought it out willingly. MANS REWARD rallied belatedly. EDLISS was taken back from a quick beginning and failed to threaten thereafter. AMONY was well placed and lasted over MYSTERY WOMAN for the place. The latter closed with good energy. EDNEZ, shuffled back immediately after the start, rushed through along the inside to reach contention after a furlong and weakened slightly in the drive. SOLAR HEAT was through after three furlongs. ADOLL was never a factor. AIRLONG UNSEATED HER RIDER IN THE POST PARADE AND RAN OFF. SHE WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED BY THE STEWARDS AND ALL MONIES WAGERED ON HER WERE REFUNDED. TINKALERO, in front early, was headed by BATTLE HILL racing to the half-mile pole, regained the lead in the midstretch while on the outside and held BETTY LINN safe while winning cleverly. The latter slipped through along the rail when the leaders fanned out turning into the stretch but could not threaten in the drive. BATTLE HILL, away quickest, was headed briefly by TINKALERO after a furlong, regained the advantage racing to the far turn, opened a clear lead and faltered. MISS ORESTES was never a serious contender. DANDY BLITZEN maintained a striking position into the stretch /and lacked a response. ENDINE and STAY SMOOCHIE was always outrun.
