Imported Sire Agitator II. Dies Suddenly at Age 10 Had Six Winners From First Small Crop to Race at Two LEXINGTON, Ky., May 11.— The imported stallion Agitator H. died suddenly at 9 a. m. Sunday at the Darby Dan Farm here of his owner, John W. Galbreath. An autopsy revealed that the ten-year-old son of Nearco — Sedition, by Solario had an enlarged heart. Agitator H. was believed to have had an excellent future at stud in the modest price field. He stood for a fee of 50 and from his first small crop who raced at two in 1958 he had six winners and others to place. Two of his three-year-olds, Be Moderate at Pimlico and Chucks Glider at Suffolk Downs, were winners last Friday. His two-year-old Name Dropper won his only two starts in New York. Agitator XL had a full book each year after his first and his sudden death in the middle of the breeding season will necessitate rebooking of some mares. In England, Agitator n. won his two only starts as a juvenvile and four of his nine races at three, while finishing second four times. All were stake races. Agitator n. was rated fifth on the Free Handicap for two-year-olds at 125 pounds. He suffered an injury in transit to the United States and was unplaced in three starts here.
