ALSTAR, shuffled back when THESPIS came in at the start, responded readily when called upon, wore down the leaders in midstretch and drew out under pressure. DAUBLEN was sent up to challenge after a half, took a slight advantage nearing the stretch and faltered. OLD LANGLEY, forced to steady when caught behind horses while rallying in the stretch, got through along the rail, then could not * threaten. THESPIS came over leaving the gate, bothering ALSTAR and CRISPI, set the pace for five furlongs and weakened late. SEA VOYAGE was well placed and weakened. TENDER MORSEL was always out of it.
