Bill Asks Rotation of Racing Dates at Florida Tracks TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 11.— The Florida House got a bill today which would set up a system of rotating racing seasons for Hialeah, Tropical and Gulfstream. A similar bill was vetoed in 1953 by the late Gov. Dan McCarthy. The bill would set up a 120-day racing period beginning December 1 of each year. Each track would operat for 40 days. The bill maintains the present provision in the law prohibiting future licensing of tracks within a radius of 100 air miles of each other.
