■ BUYING DAILY RACING FORM FOR FIRE RELIEF — All the proceeds from Tuesdays racing at the Detroit Race Course will be used for the relief of the 30 horsemen who lost 42 thoroughbreds and suffered heavy personal damage in a flash fire in Barn U last week. Daily Racing Form was. sold on Fire Relief Day on a "good fellow basis." David Goldberg, distributor of this newspaper in the Detroit area, contributed the papers free and jockeys in silks sold them to the public. First purchasers, left to right, were Racing Commissioner James H. Inglis; President Dale Shaffer of the Michigan Racing Association; Shirley Patron, office employe of Detroit Race Course. Selling papers were riders Billy Phelps and Albert Blache.
