20,046 Patrons or Hazel Park For Appreciation Day Card HAZEL PARK, Mich., June 5. Tuesdays third annual Appreciation Day at which all fans were admitted free of charge and allowed to participate in the "Name the Horse Contest" drew 20,046 fans, substantially under the 24,000 plus that were on hand last year. However, interest ran high in the yearlig colt to be given to the lucky person submitting the winning name, especially so following the strong second turned in in the third race by last years gift filly, Regal Gesture, in" her racing debut. The yearling colt, by Royal Gem H. out of the Reaping Reward mare, Reaping Tide, to be given to some fortunate fan this year on June 25, appears every bit as excellent- a prospect as Regal Gesture who was acquired by her present owner, T. Alie Grissom, for ,000 from J. D. Webster, the Hazel Park school teacher who turned in the winning name last season, and who immediately converted his prize into cash.
