j | j ! • ! j I HUNTINGTON TURF NOTES | HUNTINGTON, W. Va.. April 9. W. I,. House was an arrival today with two horses, the property of Thomas Johnson. Word reached here today from Toronto that Joseph "Bed" Freeman is urgently needed at his home, owing to serious injury to his daughter. When jockey C. Healy piloted Dust Flower to victory in the last race here Wednesday it marked the boys maiden victory. H. S. Brown reports that he has purchased a farm near Dayton, Ohio, and some brood mares, with the intention of going into the breeding of thoroughbreds on an extensive scale. In the future he will race his stable Of a dozen head here under the name of the H. E. Brown Stock Farm. C. B. Aldrich was an arrival today and reports that his sprinter. Honll.ur. died during last winter. Quaver was excused today owing to the changed track conditions. Jockey K. Hileman was an arrival today. Old Top was claimed out of the fourth race by Mrs. Lillian Cry for 00. Aldrich and Winans claimed Mabel Beth out Of the fifth race from E. K. Major for EMM.
