NEW TRACK IN VIRGINIA Announcement has been made of a Virginia race course The newest racing ground is to be built near Itichmond and the plans call for a halfmile course as well as a steeplechase field It is also the intention to have all this ready for a fall meeting from September S to 13 13Virginia Virginia has come to such an importance in productions of thoroughbreds that it would be fitting if racing opportunities were af ¬ forded within the state There are various private invitation affairs that are of the great sporting interest but the state has no public course and no really public racing
