MISSOURI RACING SEASON Riverside Park Meeting at Kansas KansasCity City Scheduled to Begin BeginThis This Afternoon KANSAS CITY Mo May 28 The Mis ¬ souri racing season of 1930 will be inaug ¬ urated at Riverside Park tomorrow when a spring meeting of thirtythree days begins at the Platte County course courseThe The inauguration tomorrow will mark the fifth attempt on the part of the officials of the Riverside Park Jockey Club to establish racing on a firm basis in the state of Mis ¬ souri and never before Were conditions more auspicious for a successful meeting meetingThe The officials are all present Lee J Rose presiding steward arrived from California Monday He and E C Knebelkamp to ¬ gether with B H Held will comprise the board of stewards E C Knebell mp will also act as racing secretary and placing judge Arthur McKnight will do the starting startingThe The racing strip has responded to the hard work of the track superintendent and will be in good shape for the opening It is anticipated that many of the existing track records will be broken brokenFor For the opening day an excellent program of seven races will be offered All of them will be well filled and the feature will be the sixth race named the Inaugural Handicap which has attracted a wellbalanced field fieldIn In addition to every stall on the track being taken all barns and stables in the vicinity have been rented and horsemen that have been unable to get stabling accom ¬ modation have pitched tents outside the grounds groundsThree Three express cars arrived from Aurora with the stables of B E Rummage with two H A Skaggs brought five headed by the good sprinter Sawdust Others that Skaggs unloaded were Sweepstakes Jackup Wee Gentleman Betty Hammond H Torriente shipped in Andresito Carloman Al Living ¬ ston Belascoain Belial The Engineer St Helena Shasta Grande Beau Aspin My Word and Sun Dance J L Scobey brought along Hoatzin Maunaolu and Rincon L Kerrs stable consisted of Ormogirl and Tetra Glass GlassEight Eight cars arrived from Tulsa with 135 horses horsesThirtyeight Thirtyeight jockeys and apprentices filled their applications for riding licenses and the following riders were acceptable to the judges F Woodstock J Guerra C Eames L PeltA Aron L Wilson D Burney P Van Pelt A Tiner L Logan J Dyer W Mills J Wood C James W Harned A Yerratt R Cochran E Armstrong J Mazoue R Parker R Meredith E Eugster F Buck C Greenwood apprentices J Jones S Leipic G McCormick T Tarminio C Stranski R SanozB Ashley J K Bates H R Riley J Sanoz B McAllister T Everett R Montgomery R West and E Bernier
