ROCK POINT, kept close to the leaders, went to the outside in the stretch and, wearing down CORRYMEELA, drew awav under pressure in the final eighth. The latter, hard ridden to shake off DUNAIR, drew clear, but was unable to withstand the winner. DUNAIR forced a steady pace and continued gamely after being overtaken. AELLA was forced to race on the outside all the way. GAMBADO was held safe in the drive. TRUE SWEEP began slowly. CRAP SHOOTER was outrun. The latter raced HAGERSTOWN into defeat and held on well. PROMETHEUS, well placed early, saved much ground entering the stretch. IMA QUEEN swung wide into the stretch. SEA FOX raced evenly. SANS COIN, away well, could not keep up. BETTY FARRELL quit.
