Licenses were granted Tuesday to the following jockeys: P. Wilhoit, N. Burger, J. Gianelloni, H. Jones and J. OMalley. The apprentice, M. Verbus, was also granted a license. A. Mott is making the book for jockey L. Wilson. The stewards passed on applications for trainers licenses to B. Butterfield, W. D. Lewis, T. S. Patch and J. Salinski. Gordon Morrow, who had charge of the jockey room last spring, is again back at his old job and reports seventy-two jockeys registered. The riding colony had a few additions Tuesday when Glenn Horn, C. Mills, M. Dupuy, R. Zucchini, J. Majestic and J. Dab-son reported to the clerk of scales. The veteran Raymond Heigle had his first mount in some time when he rode Allegretto in the sixth race. J. Freters has taken over the veteran Peter Peter to train, as well as the three-year-old filly Lady General. Numerous arrivals were reported Tuesday morning and among the better known horsemen to register were J. Salinski, with Inferno Lad and Free Helen; W. D. Lewis, with Sweet Call, and E. Hoffman, with Mill Hand and Sir John K. J. T. Johnson arrived with Memphis Las3 and False Piety, while B. Butterfield had a one-horse shipment in Agitation. O. E. Pons brought Bold Robin, Maeone and Maechute, while F. Page registered Merovech and Brains. J. W. McEwen arrived with four horses and stalls were bedded down for Night Edition, Butch, Foolish Fellow and Reserva-, Uon.
