1 AQUEDUCT TURF NOTES | *_ — _ 4 Jockey J. Mona was fined 5 and suspended for the remainder of the meeting i for disobedeince at the post in the first race Monday. ! Jockey S. Coucci, after riding Basquine in the first race, left for Arlington Park to ride Ladysman in the Stars and Stripes Handicap. The division of the Greentree Stable that will race at Empire City arrived from Detroit Tuesday morning. E. C. Smith left for Syracuse Monday, where he will serve as a steward. R. "Bones" Ingersoll has taken over the engagement book of jockey J. Gilbert for ihe remainder of the season. Before the running of the first race Tuesday the Greentree Stables Black Buddy was given a public trial at six furlongs He was ridden by Coucci and broke from the stall gate. Black Buddy showed speed and after negotiating five furlongs in 1:01% was eased up six furlongs in 1:15%. He will be raced during the Empire City meeting. Clarence Buxton received word from Columbia, S. C, that the windstorm which visited that part did very little damage to the track. The roof of the grandstand was blown away, while sections of the fence surrounding the grounds were leveled.
