STAND PAT IS TOP WEIGHT Assigned 120 Pounds for Southern Maryland Handicap, Closing Feature at Bowie Saturday. BOWIE, Md., April 10. J. B. Campbell today announced the weights for the Southern Maryland Handicap, the closing feature of the Bowie meeting to be run Saturday. It is a gallop of a mile and a sixteenth to which ,000 is added and the best offering of the Southern Maryland Association. E. F. Seagrams Stand Pat, that raced so well in Florida during the winter, is at the top with an impost of 120 pounds and then comes Evergold, from the Shandon Farm Stable and Alfred G. Vanderbilts Dogmata, each required to shoulder 115 pounds. Both of these have won at the meeting and are fit and ready for the question. Besides" Evergold, the Shandon Farm is represented by Dust Girl and her impost of 110 pounds. R. Robertsons Lynx Eye, another winner at the meeting and a Whitney discard that raced well at Oaklawn Park, is to take, up 113 pounds and he is nicely suited at the distance. Good Harvest, from the B. B. Stable, and winner of the Rowe Memorial over two Kentucky Derby candidates, Brannon and Bachelor Dinner, is to take up 103 pounds and is in well at that rating. The other two that complete the lot are A. J. Abels St. Moritz, with a feather of 95 pounds and B. Evans Chatmoss, a sturdy campaigner that is handicapped at 110 pounds. With a promised break in the weather and a return to better track conditions there is a chance that all eight of the eligibles will go to the post. Entries and weights follows: Stand Pat, 120; Evergold, 115; Dogmata, 115; Lynx Eye, 113; Chatmoss, 110; Dust Girl, 110; Good Harvest, 103; St. Moritz, 95.
