t LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES I and Tommy Oliphant, trainer of J. J. Flani-gans Chanceview, is moving that western Derby hopeful from Douglas Park, where he wintered, to Churchill Downs. The son of Chance Shot wintered in fine fashion and has been doing exceptionally well in his early training for the long Derby grind. W. G. Sparks arrived at the Downs with fifteen head owned by various Lexington and Blue Grass patrons. W. E. Hupps Bobbys Son, eligible for the Kentucky Derby, heads the string. Through Jack S. Young, Clarence E. Lehr, head of the Detroit Racing Association, desires to correct an error in the conditions for the Detroit Derby as they appear on nomination blanks recently released. Lehrs message to Young read as follows: "Mistake appears in state blank for our Derby. Allowances should be for more monies won in 1935, instead of 1934. Please correct." Three two-year-olds which wintered at Dunreath Farm, are additions to the stable Tommy Taylor is training "for Mrs. Silas B. Mason. C. W. Ferran has taken over the Cattell Stable horses. He was appointed by court order. Eddie Kaiser, who campaigned the stable last year, resigned as trainer some time ago. There are 183 eligibles for the Bashford Manor Stakes, principal race for two-year-olds to be run during the .Downs spring meeting. It carries ,500 in added money and will be decided at five furlongs on Saturday, May 11. Nominators include: C. V. Whitney, J. E. Widener, Woodward and Smith, W. R. Coe, E. R.
