Won handily; second and third driving. FLASHY GEORGE, away well,, raced AYESHA into submission rounding the turn and came on to win handily. AYESHA took a short lead for the, first eighth, then tired slightly in the stretch run, but was much the best of the others. MICKLE SPEED, always close up, finished gamely in the run home, though no match for the leaders. WISE ACE came through between horses on the turn and, closing a big gap, was going very fast in the last eighth. VALINA raced on the outside all the way and couldnt get up. LADY RIAF, well rated back of the pace, steadily gained on the leaders on the outside entering the far turn, then took the lead entering the stretch and came on to win easily. JUSTA HYMN, never far back, came through on the rail at the stretch head and was going very fast through the stretch, although no match for the winner. ZONE closed a big gap in the stretch and was going very fast at the end. MAHOMET trailed the field for the first half mile, then moved up on the rail through the stretch and finished well. HYMAN set the early pace, but tired in the final eighth and pulled up lame. MY GENTLEMAN set the early pace, but tired badly. THIRD RACE S-4 MILE. Quickaway, Feb. 19, 1933 1:10 4 112. YOGANO, off slowly, steadily moved up on the outside on the back stretch and, continuing well, wore down the leaders to reach the front midway of the stretch and won by a half length. ENTHUSIASTIC EDWARD, close up throughout, went to the front at the head of the stretch, but failed to withstand the winners challenge though racing gamely to the wire. SHORT PRICE went to the front soon after the start, took a short lead to half way around the turn, then tired slightly in the final drive. TOLLBRIDGE, forced to take back on the turn, came again when clear and was racing well at the end. SABINA H., in close quarters all the way, closed ground when straightened into the stretch. SIR VAL had some early speed, but couldnt keep up. HARSHAW was shuffled back in the first quarter and never tried thereafter. The others were always outpaced. Scratched 09008 Black Shirt, 132. FAIR ORB, well rated for the first half mile, steadily gained on the leaders, racing on the outside all the way, closed very fast through the stretch and got to the front at the seventy-yard post and came on the win easily. SHACKELFORD saved ground on the rail all the way and, closing with a rush in the last eighth, got up in the last few strides to finish second. CAPT. LARCO, close to the pacemaker in the early running, finished with good courage though tiring. BEA, never far back, finished gamely. PRISA raced evenly. FLYING DAZZLER closed some ground in the stretch. JAMUL broke from outside the gate, closed some ground on the back stretch, but tired thereafter. BUNCH BOY, off slowly, came through between horses on the back stretch, went to the outside rounding the turn and steadily gained on the leaders to reach the front entering the stretch and, closing very fast in the final eighth, got up to win narrowly. KINGS X. closed ground on the rail on the turn and, well rated, closed very fast in the stretch, but could not get to the winner. EARLY, far back in the first part, steadily improved her position while rounding the turn and closed with good courage in the final drive. CARTAGO, off last, saved ground all the way next to the rail and, although in close quarters in the stretch, finished gamely. DONNA FRANCES showed some early speed, but tired in the final eighth. GOLDEN WORDS went to the front at once, drew out to a long lead going down the back stretch, but was tiring at the end and failed to hold the fast-closing winner. SETHS HOPE, far back in the early part, closed steadily and finished gamely in the last eighth. GOLDEN KNIGHT raced evenly and was never dangerous. McGONIGLE, fractious at the post as of old, was started from outside the gate, trailed the field for the first three-quarters, then came through on the rail, but could never get to the leaders.
