BON AMOURS EXCUSE SAN MATEO, Calif., April 15. The stewards issued the following statement regarding Bon Amours race in Saturdays third event: "Patrol judge Edward Thomas, who is located at the end of the back stretch, reports that Watonga was bearing out in the run up the back stretch and into the upper turn. He says that jockey Neves was whipping his mount over the nose in an endeavor to keep him in. Bon Amour was on the outside of Watonga and suffered interference which he finally escaped by jockey Longden taking the horse back in ftnd going to the inside,"
