1 NEW YORK TURF NOTES Simon Flaherty was a Belmont Park visitor Monday morning and watched several sets of the Brookmeade Stable horsc3 breeze. Charley Quinn returned from Miami and joined the interested railbirds Monday morning. Norman Tallman, trainer for the New-tondale Stable, is laid up with an attack of grippe. Bob Robertson transferred the Mrs. Jack Dempsey horses from Jamaica to Belmont Park. Clyde Phillips, with a division of the W. R. Coe stable and several of his own, is expected at Belmont from Lexington, Ky. Jack Odom arrived from Columbia, S. C, and will remain for the season. J. Simon Healey arrived from Columbia and assumed charge of the horses that he wintered at that point for Alvin TJntermyer and other owners. Ed Heffner was an early morning visitor and stated that his plans for the year were indefinite. .George Odom returned from a week-end visit to Virginia, where he inspected the Marshall Field yearlings.
