POSTAGE DUE, away clear and having good speed, took command after the opening eighth, drew clear entering the home stretch and had speed in reserve at the end. FLYING FALCON left in the first flight, responded to punishment when reaching the home stretch and closed stoutly, but was no match for the winner. PETER PEPPER began quickly and was easily best of the others after dropping back. GRAND KNIGHT, was in tight quarters after the start, went to the outside for racing room and finished gamely. ANEROID broke fast, but lacked speed to hold a contending position. INFIDOX was badly bottled up for the first eighth and -could not race freely. BEAU THOR was unabel to secure racing room and had to be eased out of trouble for the greater part of the trip. CABLEGRAM was on the outside in the early racing. JUDGE SCHILLING, in close attendance of IMMUNE in the early racing, gained stoutly when put to a drive, wore down the pacemaker and held on courageously in the closing drive to withstand CANCEL. The latter followed close up early, then came with good energy under punishment in the closing test. MEROVECH worked his way up on the inside, found racing room along the inner rail and fought it out stoutly nearing the finish. KALOLA improved her position on the outside after being slow, to settle into her stride and closed with good speed. IMMUNE displayed nice speed while setting the pace, but faild to rally under punishment in the closing drive. OGLE was gaining slowly in the late stages. POSTSCRIPT, lacking speed in the early stages to maintain a forward position, worked her way up on the outside when improving her position, wore down the leaders steadily and came out nicely after gaining command. CANDESCENT, prominent from the beginning, was placed to stiff pressure in the last half mile and held on with good courage. WATERSET raced forwardly while saving ground, then finished stoutly when steered to the outside of the leaders in the final drive. DALMATIA displayed good speed while setting the pace, but tired during the closing eighth. HIGHEST POINT was outrun early, but finished, fast in the closing stages. MOUNTAIN ELK was unable to threaten when hard urged. HEIRESS was outrun. SKY HAVEN was done after three-eighths. BOSCOBEL showed speed for the first three-eighths. NAUTCH swerved out badly when entering the home stretch after having much speed, was straightened and came again right at the end ONLY ONE was hard ridden and showed a good effort.
