1 LEXINGTON TURF NOTES I $ Hal Price Headley, master of Beaumont Farm, left Wednesday afternoon for New York to remain several days. His horses arrived at Belmont Park in good shape Sunday afternoon and are in charge of trainer Duval Headley. The owner is going to personally observe the training of Hollyrood for the Kentucky Derby. Barvita, J. O. Keenes four-year-old filly by Vito, has been returned from Miami and has joined the string at Keeneland Stud in charge of William Rust. Lee Rosenberg, New York cotton broker, owner of Kerry Patch, in a letter to Thomas B. Cromwell, Lexington, says: "Kerry Patch is training right along and I have decided not to sell him until he proves his value by racing." Rosenberg had listed the Futurity winner for sale and had offered to take as low as ,500 for him. If the son of Desperate Desmond stands training he may easily bring double that sum, perhaps more.
