SIXTY-TWO JUVENILES NAMED Aberdeen Stakes Heads Havre List in Number of Eligible s. Harford Handicap Draws Forty-Five While Chesapeake Stakes Attracts Forty-Two Nominations. HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., April 2. A. G. Vanderbilts unbeaten two-year-old Airflame, holder of the worlds three-eighths record of :33, heads the list of sixty-two nominations for the ,500 Aberdeen. Stakes, to be run. Tuesday, April 28 over this track. The Aberdeen is one of four stakes to be offered by the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association, during its fourteen-day meeting, beginning Monday, April 13. The others are: ,000 Harford Handicap on April 13, 0,000 Chesapeake on April 18 and the ,500 Philadelphia Handicap on April 25. In the absence of racing secretary Charles McLennan, who is in Texas; general manager Edward Burke tabulated and released the official list of nominations. The Harford drew forty-five nominations. The Chesapeake attracted forty-two horses, the Philadelphia thirty-eight and the Aberdeen sixty-two, a grand total of 187 of the finest American and Canadian-owned thoroughbreds in training. Such a generous response on the part of horsemen, proves that they appreciate the efforts of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association to make it well worth c-the trouble they go to in fitting their charges so early in the year. The official list of Aberdeen nominations as released today by general manager Burke follow: E. K. Hughes have both nominated unnamed fillies for the Aberdeen. Airflame will be fully tested in the Aberdeen. -There are several topnotch youngsters eligible for the race and it may be that the time record of :53 hung up in 1924 by Single Foot, and equalled in 1935 by Rock Man and again in 1933 by Bonanza will be erased from the record books. General manager Edward Burke reports a big demand for clubhouse and private boxe3 on opening day. Given good weather Burke is confident of playing host to 20,000 turfites when the second lap of Marylands spring season gets under way April 13.
