1 TROPICAL PARK TURF NOTES $ $ Jockey W. G. Jackson, contract rider for Miss L. C. White, who was thrown from the racer Blondella at Tropical Park, Wednesday, and who later reported that his injuries were not serious after a hurried examination, was discovered to be suffering from two broken ribs and a fracture of his, coccyx bone, after an X-ray plate was made at 3 a. m. Thursday. Jackson will rest until his injuries are mended, but will accompany the Miss L. C. White racers to Havre de Grace. A carload of horses, embracing divisions of the E. Craigie, W. Zakoor, Paul Sanford and L. Schaefer stables, will be transferred to Havre de Grace, Sunday. William Irvine, who is building up a formidable stable to race in Maryland, New England and New York, purchased the useful two-year-olds Nadeen and Pacques from E. B. McGehee. The horses will be shipped to Maryland for the spring meeting in the Old Line State. Jockey Raymond Workman, who arrived from the C. V. Whitney farm in Lexington, Ky., especially to ride his contract employers three-year-old Bright Plumage in the Derby Consolation on Saturday, will return to Bowie immediately after completing his engagement. Present plans call for the Gratton stable to be shipped to Woodbine Park of the Ontario Jockey Club in Toronto to be rested up until the opening of the Canidian racing season on May 23. Irvine and J. U. Gratton parted by mutual agreement and it was learned that Irvine will campaign a string of his own horses hereafter. Bob Robertson is sending the horses in his charge to Belmont Park at the close of the present meeting. Lew Williams, who has a useful stable at Tropical Park, plans to ship to New England at the close of the meeting here to await the opening of Narragansett Park. C. H. Trotter shipped the horses of H. F. Carr and W. A. Jones to Havre de Grace Wednesday morning, where they will await the meeting of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association.
